Weather - Trips go rain or shine. Fleece tops, water resistant splash jackets, pant and wetsuits are available at no extra charge. The French Broad River is a free flowing river so water levels vary and will determine the type and size of boats we offer. Occasionally we will need to change sections of the river due to high or low water.

Minimum Age - The minimum age for the Calm Water Float Trip is 4 years. The minimum age for all other trips is 8 years.

Alcohol - Anyone impaired by alcolol or drugs will not be allowed to participate in the trip. There will be no refund.

Arrival Time - Please arrive 1/2 hour before your trip time. Please call if you are running late.

What to Wear - clothes you don't mind getting wet. Shorts and t-shirt are suitable during the warmer summer months. Wear shoes that will stay on your feet. Please, no flip flops. In spring and fall add a light weight wool or fleece hat to your wardrobe.

Medical Considerations - Rafting is a participation sport. Participants should be reasonably fit, and in good health. Bring items which might be needed for medical considerations. Some examples are bee sting kits for known bee sting allergies, inhalers for asthma, and extra food for someone living with diabetes.

Waiver - A signed Assumption of Risk and Waiver of Liability will be required for each participant. Each child under 18 years is required to have a parent, guardian, or chaperone sign for the minor. Each child over 14 and under 18 years will be required to sign the Assumption of Risk portion of his/her waiver, in addition to the responsible adult's signature.
